All animals have an endocannabinoid system composed of CB1 and CB2 receptors that are configured only to accept cannabinoids.
CB1 receptors are found predominantly in the brain, upper airways, liver, adrenal glands, prostate and reproductive organs.
Both CB1 and CB2 receptors are located in cells of the eye, stomach, heart, pancreas, digestive tract and bones
CB2 receptors are found in the cells of the lymphatic and immune system.
